Hi bros
I knoe we have our complaints but in order to keep this tidy, the list will only contain the nickname and date
when the parts are spoilt.
Keep this thread coming, I hope to hit 100 if this is indeed a product defect
Air Con (compressor and/or colling coil)
1. Windmill75 spoilt when car is 3.5 yrs old
2. ccsSGM cooling fan gas leak after servicing 38mth old
3. dsrio spoilt when car just pass 3 years warranty, foc out of goodwill
4. papajo82 spoilt recently. car 2 years 1 month
5. enzoni replaced leaking cooling coil when car is 3yr 8mth old
6. jonpaul0104 replaced aircon compressor when car is 4yr 2mth old
7. zippy replaced a/c compressor today. Car is 1yr 6mth old.
8. marcus air-con not cold since day 1.
9. priyana replaced aircon compressor when care is 3yr 3mth old (at outside workshop since TCM quote higher)
10. Jazonthemove replace cooling coil leaking @ 2yr old
11. Jazonthemove replace a/c friday 12.02.2010 @ 2yr 11mth
12. junchen air con not cold when car is 1 yr old. Replace with a new aircon compressor.
13. sengkang replace compressor @ 2 yrs 9 mths
14. nakshire ac forever not cold. TC say i too kiasu, but i really dun feel that its cold...
15. lyh1280 changed twice, once under warranty at ~80K, once after warranty over ~140K...
16. cm2109 changed at abt car 1.8yrs(34k), now same problem again car just after 3yrs(64k), out of warranty now pending reply from to Nissan Japan.
17. Kanzo replaced a/c evaporater assy ( a/c coil ) when car 2yrs 11mths and 20 days old.. just in time
Alternator
1. windmill75 spoilt when car is 3.5 yrs
2. papajo82 replace by TC at the same time as my air con compressor
3. priyana replaced after 4yr 5mth at TCM, got a refurbished unit.
4. sengkang replace compressor @ 2 yrs 6 mths

I'm consolidating this list now that we've hit about 20 such similar story.
I will email the list to everyone by end of March/early april in order to allow bros here some time
to reply me.
I will be requesting for accountability in these common defects. They should not be worn out just after the warranty period.
Actions requested would be for them to reimburse our repair costs if the defects occur less than 5 yrs. and to extend warranty for these parts to 5 yrs.

Hi all .... sorry side-track abit,
Notice most of the breakdowns occur after warranty period, roughly how much to get the aircon/compressor replaced at TCM and outside workshop.
Therefore, since i intend to drive another 2~3yrs (current at 95K), will it be advisable to purchase 3rd party warranty as recommended by one of the offering below?

OK just for your info...i change mine a/c compressor @ 110K km/4.5 yrs at TC BT after the car warranty over...cost me $1.3K include parts, labour & GST + 10% NAC discount....need 1 day for the job.....

ouch !! that ex hor !!
my 3.3yr ride current at 95K ...... hmmm .... maybe need serious consideration for such warranty.
