--- Quote from: nakshire on March 02, 2010, 11:58:45 PM ---i had a talk with one of our TLC laojiao today... Joel.
He said the best is we run all the way until the fuel indicator lights up, and then we go and pump to measure. By right can squeeze 40L. He said his is mostly city driving, can clock 600km on 40L. 15km/l
Maybe can try this method see how the FC works...

bro, his right foot maybe VERY light leh.
yours.... lead footed.
i think average is 500km / 37L, thats for me... 50% hw, 50% city, LOTS of heavy flooring. =]

so retraining ECU includes resetting it or juz drive and let it recognise my pattern?

Better go for reset, some advise you against it isn't driving at all.

For me, i will pump when the fuel indicator lights up. After filling up, write down the quantity of fuel you pump. Wait till the fuel indicator lights up again, write down the distance travelled. Do the same for 10 full tank. Total up the distance travelled and total fuel quantity used, than use total distance tavelled divided by total fuel quantity used, u will be able to tell 1l of fuel can bring you how far.

Mine is an OPC. Just hit 14K mileage and notice that the FC has improved from the 13.5K point. Used to clock between 370 - 400km for one tank. Now hit 400km at the 3/4 tank bar. Hope this continues. I usually rev between 2 - 2.5K rpm. Have spark bridging done as well.

Advantages of the CVT
Engines do not develop constant power at all speeds; they have specific speeds where torque (pulling power), horsepower (speed power) or fuel efficiency are at their highest levels. Because there are no gears to tie a given road speed directly to a given engine speed, the CVT can vary the engine speed as needed to access maximum power as well as maximum fuel efficiency. This allows the CVT to provide quicker acceleration than a conventional automatic or manual transmission while delivering superior fuel economy.

i believe there may be a slight difference between CVT and AT, and this might lead to differences between our CVT and AT FC experiences here. just note that we might not be having apple-to-apple comparison though, correct me if i am wrong!
