Full tank
- Ensures your fuel tank will not rust
- Your fuel pump has an easier job due to the pressure from the fuel
- Heavier car which translates to a little higher fuel consumption (neg).

1/2 tank or less
- Lighter car since more economical
- Fuel tank may rust, but this is not an issue if you drive daily
- Fuel pump works harder

correct me if i am wrong, but are you talking about a carburetor now?

buddy, fuel tanks now are made of PLASTIC, and fuel pump works at the same rate NO matter what.

and NO, fuller tank doesn't mean higher pressure.

dude, come back to 2010 man, it aint 1980 anymore.

I noticed that the low fuel indicator normally lights up after 35Ltr and for me initially I have only hit about 420km. But now it has dropped significantly from 400km to 380km traveled. My driving pattern has not changed all these while. Yet the FC has. My calculation of FC is based on the mileage traveled/amount of fuel from last top up. It has been doing about 11.5km/ltr average but last few rounds dropped down to less then 11km.  I used RON 92 for my fuel as I found that were no significant difference between the various grade. Complaining to the those technician doesn't seems to help much. Now I guess I am stuck with a lemon of a car. One thing I know for sure, my next car definitely won't be another Nissan.

what EO are you using and tire pressure and tire size?

exhaust leaking(loud exhaust) and is your airbox tight?

car loaded to brim at all times?

exhaust leaking(loud exhaust) and is your airbox tight? - Exhaust ok, airbox where is this located?

car loaded to brim at all times? - Load nothing in my booth

driving habits? - As per normal dun like to rev the engine always keeps between 2500 to 3000 max for rpm, I don't like overtaking either, this car is not known for its pick up power

how heavy is your right foot? - Very light I dun jam down the accelerator to pick up speed just let it cruise

Just bought a Nissan Latio HB yesterday (2nd hand) and pump my first petrol at SPC 8000. I thought latio was kinda of Fuel Economic but for 1 bar of petrol i only manage to travel ard 70km. I travel on mostly highway today... is the 'brand' of petrol crucial to the FC??

Hi Shawnie! Hows the FC for ur car now! I just got my 2nd hand latio sport too! I pumped SPC 95 full tank and im totally shocked when my dad returned home with just 3/4 tank left and only 60km clocked!

I drove it today and it seems that i can travel more than 70km with just 3/4 of a bar. Really hop it gets better cos im still a student!
