CVT not lasting?

<< < (3/8) > >>

pizzaboy:
many ppl got tis bad/weird habit of shiftin the gear to park or neutral when waitin at red lite or shiftin frm D to R or vice versa when the car is still movin all tis actions will contribute to shorten the lifespan of ur gearbox doesn't matter if its cvt or 4at

ben5266:
Shifting the gear from R to D or D to R before the car comes to complete stop could shorten the live span of the gear?

elton_897:
look like not much ppl have their gear box change.......
I think i should be the unlucky one just change mine third gearbox in jan.
It is a smooth gear box but we cant push it hard.

 how big is the hole in ur pocket each time?

I understand that Nissan has the most rebust and is the pioneer of the cvt. Glad that most people do not have much issue with the cvt, except with the characteristic pickup power. If you look at the Honda Jazz / Fit forum, you will be surprise by the amount of complaints.

I did consider the Jazz before I got my 4AT latio, but drop the idea of having it. It's a blessing to me.  ::)
