Hi, for your information. CVT is part of the gearbox. Instead of changing ATF oil, we change CVT Oil.
I changed my gearbox 6 months before my warranty expires. Had to go down to TC and bang table many times
and finally after going for 4 test run on the road, they ordered a new gearbox for me.
My friend who's drove a Latio Sport lamented that his gearbox is not responding properly.
I let him drive my ride after the changed and he commented that it's a world of difference comparing his car's respond to mine.
I met him after Chinese New Year at TC and realised that he had traded in his Latio Sport for a Latio AT! (Downgraded becos of
fear of CVT not lasting).

I believe my gearbox can last me for another 5 years after that change.
TC SVC adviser told me that becos they dont have the technical knowhow to repair CVT gearbox, so they can only change it.
BUT it cost a bomb to them, thus guess count yourself lucky if you managed to get them to change your gearbox.
Basically, its your luck but from what i gather, alot of Latio Premium and Sports got gearbox problems.
