Maybe try bang some tables see if they can waive the repair cost for you - out of goodwill. But bros in here end up paying only the labour charge - better than nothing...

ya lor, Korean made are work horse, do their jobs faithfully without hiccups for both our Accent and Tucson.
no choice la, COE sky high, so the most feasible means is to go for repair

Seems like these problem usually surface after aircon flushing during those major servicing @ ard 60K, mine
Talk with the mechanics @ Toh Guan Autosaver today, he told me quite a few cases with Latio, either coil or compressor kaput, usually after aircon flushing. Conclusion is most probably those residues tat use to pluck the problems are removed thus surfacing/escalating the problem.
With the statistics from the other threads, seem like the case.....

Agree to quite an extent. Previously i drove a Getz. Didnt have those least expected problems like window motor spoil, steering coupling spoil etc. All the way up to the 4th year plus, sold it off, still nothing spoil. Only changed timing belt only - but that is considered wear and tear.
Latio - aircon compressor/evaporator coil/digital aircon heywire, steering coupling, window motor, sound here, sound there... what else? haha.
Lets pray. Treat our Latio good and hope it will serve us well.

time for pics. wahahaha
