Brake problem?
clarence:
Midnight,
You probably did not slam on your brake pedal hard enoughto activate the ABS, resulting in the accident.
Imhdex,
I find my Latio brakes serve their primary objective. Perhaps it all boils down to expectations. Latio uses rear drums brakes afterall.

I dunno, but i think my ABS already activated....
lmhdex:
Not too sure about the "expectation" theory, because this is my first ride, so rightfully, I shouldn't have anything to compare with.
I just felt that it doesn't feel as "jiak" as in the first couple of months. Last week, I jam braked couple of times because somehow felt that the pressure I used to apply on the brakes to slow down the car suddenly had to be increased.
I called my SA and he said may be due to wet weather recently, so brake pads may be wet or something.
clarence:
You may wish to check your tyre pressure and if your tyres have sufficient thread.
Do check all your brake pads too.

1. tyre to wider profile, 185/65/R15 tp 195/60/R15. Braking improve a bit.
2. This is where I enjoy most since I get my latio. I've change to Runstop Sport kit + Nano Brake pad. It improve the the Braking system where Nissan Latio lack off.
You can search for Runstop Sport kit in the forum for the improvement. Hope it help you.

I changed mine too. Better brake.
correct me if I am wrong, ABS does not help you to stop at the shortes distance but just prevent your wheel loock when you brake hard. So if you change better brake parts, you can stop at shorter distance without the need to brake hard (that trigger ABS).
