btw, bro jon, i remember you mentioning that you have an extra cigarette lighter 12v point install by outside workshop right?
i believe can be done right coz the audio shop i went to yesterday says cannot be done, say must tap from current 12v point and run cable, like this ugly ler :nonod:.

can also consider buying an multi-socket extender from autobacs (they have many different designs), something like this http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/4153tgpQZSL._SL160_AA160_.jpg
one side plug into existing socket, stick or screw mount the multi-socket side under the dashboard or any desired location, then tuck the extension wire under the plastics at the centre where the gear-shift is, still quite neat n tidy.

for me, i just got myself a multi-socket adapter without the extension, good enough for now

what i did for the power for the video camera was to get a 12v adaptor...then tap the power source from the fuse box......u can then hide the adaptor anywhere and yet the orginal cigarette lighter hole still available.....
