Many Latio have this rattling (or squeaking) sound at dashboard, seats & door panels problem... my dashboard problem is kinda solved after TCM applied insulation tapes between the adjoining gaps. I sent car in 3 times (left car there for 2 days on 3rd time during my 5k servicing), job done under warranty. Still working on insulating the door panels.

From the forums, I realised that Latio's designers (from Renault?) purposely "split" the usually 1-pieced dashboard into multiple pieces so that workshop can do sectional replacement; i.e. replacing only the damaged section instead of changing the whole dashboard. While the idea is good, the design/materials used seem no so good… resulting in undesirable sound generated when movable parts at sectional joints rub against each other (when car goes over uneven ground), a problem not usually found in 1-piece dashboards (new cars). If you can prevent the "smootching", problem solved until the insulation wears off.
IMO, the door panels are pretty flimsy (plasticky and thin) and quite vibration friendly. That’s probably a result of cost cutting (used the more expensive suede but cut other areas) so that the car may be sold at more competitive prices. Dunno about the cheaper kim-chi cars but my friends' tong-yum Toyotas don’t seem to have this problem… but they have other issues to sort out; every car has its inherent issues
