** clog clog sound** when going up the hump ..

Anaconda:
Mine latio sedan (Oct 2005 batch, mileage now 125k) had croak croak croak sound in mid 2008 and TC mechanic said it is pinging sound. The sound would come when going up ramp (wind down window can hear very obvious) and sometimes on straight road also when very light footed on the accelerator.   They asked me what petrol I using and I told them Shell 95.  They asked me to upgrade to higher grade but I said why should I as the car should be able to function normally on Shell 95.  TC then changed the ECU for me (luckily was under warranty, otherwise cost $2k!!!) and the croak croak croak sound disappeared.  Unfortunately it has come back since past few months now so now I using the highest grade petrol, (now using Esso).  The sound minimised by about 90% now after 3-5 tank top-ups.   Lets hope it will disappear soon.  Very paiseh - like old car sound.

Not sure if your car ECU is within warranty after 5+years. TCM might be using the recent recall to change your ECU. Check here https://vitas.lta.gov.sg/EvPublicEnquiryServlet if your car is affected by the recall on ECM.

The relay changed for my ride has nothing to do with the ECU but more to the electrical power distribution board of the card which is just under the dash board so it's not possible that they change your ECU during the recall.
