Car remote not sensitive..
« on: November 30, 2010, 08:34:42 AM »
Hi All,

I have encountered this problem..

My ikey doesnt seems to be sensitive.... I do not encounter any problem when i open the door.

However when i start the engine and travel about 5km for exmaple, then switch off the engine and attempt to lock the the car. the remote doesnt seem to be sensitive and i got to press many times on my ikey or the black button on the car in order to lock it.

I have changed the battery however it still the same. I got an additional ikey and it is also the same.

ANyone got the same problem as i do or any kind bro to advise?

If this happens at petrol station, it should not be problem. The ikey signal interferences with pump wireless signal.

Maybe you check to see if you put the ikey with your mobile phone together? It could be signal interference issue.

you may want to check the wire connection to the rear mirror.
Try also to off or remove any electroics devices and see how.

I Went to TCM this morning and found out the problem lies on my car camera, dv004.

It seems to cause some kind of interference to the car sensor at the rear mirror. I remove the car camera and it is working okay.

Any ways to block the interference, other than moving the location of my camera?  (it is tapped to the car battery and the length of wire is limited)
