renewal of road tax

Ringoping:
Bought my 2nd hand Dec 06 latio in march 2010 and insurance naturally expires in march 2011. Tried to renew my half-year road tax yesterday but was declined as current insurance only covers until mar 2011 but road tax is until jun 2011.

I think the only option I have is to extend my current insurance for another 3 months to Jun 2011 which will align with my road tax expiry date.

Any other advice?  :(
