Are Yokohoma tyres any good?
SC_New:
Just went for 50k svc at Tan Chong (UBI). The guys said my tyres worn out and need to be replaced. He said they were having a promo for Yokohoma tyres at $125 each. Are these tyres any good?

Thanks for your help. They mentioned ES 501 @ 102 each. They also mentioned 185/65-14 which I don't know what it means.

OIC. Currently I am on this ES501 as well....but i got 15" @ $95 each....ES501 is Yokohama DNA dB ES501....quiet & comfort tyres.....but some will say wet grip no good....to each his own...
185 is the tyre width
65 is the tyre sidewall in % reference to tyre width
14 is the size in inches
Hope I am correct.....

Strange...your latio is on 14" rim. I thought all latio are on 15" rim, no?
My latio sport stock tyres is 185/65/15...after 40Km and a skid I had it changed it to 195/60/15 to improve road grip and better cornering speed of 50~60km/hr at the highway.
For $125/pc I would take Hankook K415 195/60/15 at $84 (it's grippy but not so silent when road is rough) as there is a 30% Hankook tyres discount till end of this month. Otherwise I would add $10 more to take Bridgestone GR90 195/60/15 at $135 (grippy & quieter).
I used to have the Hankook Blackbird V2 195/60/15 at $104. It's really sticky, quiet & good value - I simply love it but I don't know why they stopped selling this particular model now :confused1:
