Engine sound changed and then car felt sluggish

Hi

My ride is latio sport base model.

I know my problem sounds weird but not sure how to exactly put it in words.  I slowed down at a hump and then the car gave out a sound like it's about to switch off; after moving off again, the car feels unstable as though tyre got punctured.

I rested the car a bit then drove it round my estate a few rounds and then it felt normal again. 

Not sure what's the problem.
