Just like to share my experience with all after changed my car's shock absorber at TC last week.....i will say this campaign sucks....after waiting for a few hours for them to dismantle my car, the sales advisor told me that the 2 pcs insulator struts on top of the front absorber has cracked and need to change.....these 2 pcs are non inclusive and charge at $68/pcs....end up pay $699 in all.....
Hope i can get credit from all here for sharing my bad experience......    :smoke:

Did you physically see the crack? Normally the rubber tends to crack due to wear and tear . So hows the ride after replacing the shocks?

If these rubber tends to crack due to wear and tear then should include in this campaign. From the manner this campaign puts in, TC has the intention to not include these two parts, the sales advisor try to avoid my question on whether the rubber mounting is inclusive, say have to dismantle and see first....once they spent few hours with your car then they say need to change....then what's your decision going to be?

After change of course have difference....but this my lesson from TC.....   :smoke:

Anyone driving the FL latio sport, and finds the suspension stiff? I have to drive past humps slower as compared to an Altis.

May i know how to tell the absorber is not is good condition and need to have it replace? My latio is 4 1/2 years and from the daily drive, i can feel that the absorber is not functioning well. I had feedback to TC during my last 2 servicing. But the sales advisor say nothing wrong.

Do you ready feel the different after changing the absorber and insulator struts?

Regards
LT

How many km do you have on your car? usually, you will feel your car a lots bouncier and much softer.

Instead of changing to stock nissan shocks, why not try KYB shocks, they are firmer, there is a thread on KYB shocks, do a search

My car mileage around 91k. I can feel that the absorber is too firm and it create a lot of noice when travel at uneven road. KYB absorber is too firm for me.
