My servicing experience today
Lorddraco:
Well .. I went with TC for servicing ... reason?
1. Nearer to my home (Bukit Panjang)
2. The saving I last check with those who went Autosaver is not compelling for me to go further east for servicing
3. TC servicing for me so far has been great (Usually went to TC autoclinic and took a bus back)
In fact ... void warranty is least of my worries. :)

Based on my experience from Mazda, as long as we dont go back & be serviced by them according the 10000km requirement, warranty on any parts is voided. Back then I tried to change the weather rubber strip of my door (Wear & tear), they told me that I could change for free becos their records didnt show that went back for service for more than 6 mths! (I did went back to their other authorised centre for svc). So in the end, I change that part F.O.C.
So its is common sense that TC will want us to go back & service our Latios under them. So, how could anyone say that its ok if we service according to the stated requirement.
Sorry to splash cold water, but I dont think its so simple.
I strongly believe (biz sense) that TC will void our warranty if we do not go back.
When I mentioned "void", I meant that if we complained of any problem, they will make us pay for parts becos we didnt go back to "THEM" for service. That will be a hard lesson for anyone affected.
So I think its better to double-check with TC.

IMHO, Mazda and TC work differently. From what I gather at here and NEC, no body ever get their warranty void before because they do servicing at un-authorised workshops, which is quite common. Honda and Mazda are known to be very strict on this however.
The advise is to do minor servicing at outside workshops and major servicing at TC to do some dollar if you want (or vice versa if you want to save more). Refer to the official TC maintenace sheet for details of this minor and major servicing interval. At least there will be some records of you going there for servicing, just to be KS abit. Another advice is to do it after 3rd yr, as the warranty period will be over by then.

Actually, the interesting part is I have a regular mechanic who had been working on my dad's cars (and knows me because I used to bring his car in frequently). During our recent servicing interval, he actually advised us to bring our cars to TC during the warranty period....
His rational is for minor servicing, he is not much cheaper (and its true..) and for major servicing (20,000, 40,000 etc), better to go back to TC because of warranty issues.

Have try 3 TC service centre.
1000km...... Toa Payoh.... packed and the works done not so satisfactory
5000km...... Bukit Timah.... so so packed.... service level so so.
10000km.( today)...... Jurong..... quite deserted. so i think mechanics will spend more time on the servicing. Surprised that the service advisor periodically advise me on the status of the servicing. ( i was at the lounge surfing the net). when collect car the receptionist explained what have been done and also the service advisor also explain me on the various package to take up.
The service level is A1. Very cosy and the place may not looks so grand like in TC Bukit Timah. But most importantly, a job well done.
Only it is quite "ulu ulu"
carowner:
There are days where the Jurong service centre is also crowded. However, I do find their service level is good. they will explain to you what items need to be changes and what are changed at the end of the service.
