Steering wheel (2 silver side panel) paint probem

Hi all,

I recently accidentally dripped my hand sanitizer (detoit) into my steering wheel thus causing slight dis-colouration in one of the silver panel (hope you know what I'm referring). Tried to clean up but its too late.

Have called TC and they said the only way is to replace the whole steering wheel if this bother you.

Is there any way that TC can replace just the plastic silver portion or is there any sticker/re-paint for such cases.

stickers yes, but was told just paste and cut over it without removing. not sure whether will last though.
