My AT is ride coming to 80k, is it worth to sign up NPMP?  Changing of original brake pads & shoes almost cost $90+ & $110+ on material respectively.  Total with labour about $300. Fan belts (about $100) and spark plugs ($110) going due at 100k.   Purchasing 4 times engine oil from outside each average $80 and total $320.  Any cost that I miss? These totals about $800 & NPMP currently is & $1198.   Any good advice?

dsrio:
fan belt change outside bout $70

sparks plug if $110(inclusive labour), please share lobang  :devil2:

for NPMP, i feel it is one of the more worth it package among AD in singapore.
just make sure brakes pad, shoes, fan belt and spark plug are included when you signed the NPMP package, and not charge separately.

another thing is TCM is using fastflo engine oil, if you bring your own also no rebates, but during my time, can top up $ for shogun engine oil.

to add on, one negative point is that you cannot stay with the mechanic and see them doing their work, so even if they just blindly sign, you wouldn't know.

my latio cvt oil was changed during 60k NPMP, yet just last week, when i change it during 100k servicing, it was really black, just like kopi o color.

Bro, you might wana pm Bro Kelvin and check the charges for parts and labour for the items you described, then decide from there. From my experience, TCM charges are usually much higher than what outside workshop charges.
If you are talking about quality of workmanship, TCM might not be better. They changed my brake pads but forgot to grease one component, resulting in a knocking sound whenever I turn right. Luckily Bro Kelvin managed to rectify that for me. I once went to TCM to do ECU reflash. Paid them $80 for that and discovered that nothing changes. Went to a workshop at Sin Ming to do the same thing, paid the same price, and found that there was a distinct difference. There's some other negative experiences with TCM that I shall not share here. But overall, my experiences with them has not been pleasant in general. Their charges are pretty high, yet I still get monkeys from them . Or maybe I'm the suay one, they don't like my face or something...

Thanks for the info, I will consider. So far, there is sound at 20 & 40kmph while moving off, still unable to solve.  I was wondering, if bring back for them to resolve it.  With the feedback, it may not be wise, as their service for non- warranty latio, may not be as good as those under warranty.  Maybe is because, they can charge us for diagnosis or they know, we cannot bang table.

Dario, spark plug, I read is only labour.
KT is right, I can't see them what they do to my car!  Scary, whether they do a proper job.  So far, anyone see how they service our car? Or can we go up together with them to see?
