car alarm - how to disable?
(1/1)
fickle:
Hi,
anyone here can share how to disable the car alarm?
I was locked out of my car, with alarm armed. Ikey not responding so can't use it to unlock the alarm.
decided to use the embedded key in the ikey to open the door... and the alarm starting horning/beeping non stop. Tried to depress the red button under the dash board but it doesn't shut the sound. Only after 30seconds thereabouts, then it stops beeping.
Meanwhile, i've changed the battery and now its working fine. But... if I get locked out again and ikey battery dead again, how do I get access without the alarm and start the engine with the manual key?

As long as alarm is armed, it will be triggered when u use the manual key to open the door......what you have to do is to insert the key into ignition then turn to ON position (not to cranking position).....then press the red button to disable alarm.....
Hope this helps.....u can try it now to see if it works......this is if alarm is installed by TCM....
