Hum....here is my advice base on my experience....

1. Tyre pressure is on the high side....I pump 260 front 250 rear (195.60.R15)
2. Fuel grade 98 is good enough....I pump shell 95 but some time 98
3. Pump at late night never try....I most of the time pump myself with slow rate like you
4. Driving w/o AC will give you little more power....
5. Try to keep RPM around 2K....

Your idling RPM?
Check you gear oil and what grade of engine oil using...10W 40?
Last service?

Wow, Weili seem like you are fugal in your driving style.

By right you pump your tyres on the high side should be quite fuel saving, wonder what tyres are you using ?

What brand and grade of your engine oil ?

Pump RON98 with your driving style is an overkill in my opinion, try to downgrade and save some money for upgrade

Is your rims sport rim ?

weili:
just had servicing done yesterday. replaced engine mounting , spark plugs and some others.
i was actually curious about the engine mounting price so i was searching and searching until i chanced upon this forum but my dad went ahead with the replacment anyway..
cooper tyres (195/65R15)
after servicing
idling rpm is 800 (before 1000)
engine oil is synace sae 5w40

i know 98 is an overkill but dad likes 98 because car dealer said so....  :D
sport rim - yes

dthh:
Hi,

Your tyre is little over size....by 2% when refer to stock 185.65 R15.

weili:
what do you mean by oversize??
using 185/65R15 would be a better option than 195/65R15??
the other time the tyres were going to be botak so for safety it was changed to the current size by the mechanics..
