The sound is pretty obvious is coming from the engine portion. Gearbox is located more on the front bottom or bottom portion of the car right?

Jazz:
Timing chain can be replaced, only tedious process. Let the guru from the web tell you.

If it is engine pinging, try to top up higher RON or octane petrol see if this improve.

Wow thanks for the advice bro. Just curious did anyone even changed out their timing chain here? Cause the mechanic told me if the timing chain is stretched, even the engine has started will hear the sound. Don know how true is that

Jazz:
So far, as per my humble knowledge and from mechanics which I like to TCSS with them, usually MT performance cars will have the tendency to replace timing chain due to the nature of the habitual driving. For normal AT and CVT, it really need a high mileage to wear a timing chain since it come with a chain tensioner as built in for most cars nowadays.

What the mechanic said is true if timing chain is worn and stretched as it will vibrate thus that where the sound should be.

So have you solve your pinging noise yet ?
