Drive shaft

(1/3) > >>

rongshu:
I have this pop sound from the driver side front wheel for about 1 year. I will hear the sound when brake hard to stop or turning during reversing. Went to workshop and was advised it was drive shaft problem. Anyone has the same problem?

Jazz:
Drive shaft ? Do Latio have it ? Latio is FWD not RWD leh.  :confused1:

Jazz:
Maybe it the front wheel front axle CV joint.

rongshu:
From my google search, drive shaft is to transmit the power from gearbox or differential to wheel. So for latio, it has 2 drive shafts. The CV joint is part of the drive shaft. Often there is no separate CV joint alone to replace. I haven't checked with the workshop to see if it is possible to change the CV joint alone. I agree it is usually the outer CV joint nearer to the wheel need to be replaced rather than the whole drive shaft.

Jazz:
Changed ? Conclusion ? Curious to know too.
