So we can disable the alarm locking/un-locking sound but still keep the search mode sound?

How's the range of the alarm like? as short as our iKey detection range ?

No additional button. To activate search, press lock button on ikey twice quickly.

Can switch between horn and original beep when locking/unlocking. Horn will still go off when in search mode or alarm triggered.

Range is same as when using ikey as remote.

No additional remote. All functions using original ikey. I installed mine at Lok Yang about a month back

The additional remote one is older model or crimestopper OEM model.

i am thinking of installing this also...
but on 2nd thoughts, i am thinking will this help?  :confused1:
because the fact that you forget to lock will also means u forget to check whether it is locked, in other words, you will might not check if the LED lights or not. :crying:

having said that, if you remember to check if the LED lights or not,
then you will remember to check if u lock ur door by just trying to open the door to check, or if u are distance away from the car, can just press the remote to lock again to make sure.

i think best will be auto-lock the door after say abt 30sec you off engine and close all door and key is not inside the car.
got such device?  :confused1:

I self installed a crimestopper CS2002 in my jeep before and it has that function. It self locks the car after ignition is turned off and door openned and closed after 30sec. Down side is when installed in our cars, you will have another remote. I think it has a OEM trigger input so that it takes arm/disarm signal from our inbuilt system (no need for separate remote) but I am not too sure.

Hi, just to check.

If I am walking back to the car, means I have to press the Ikey button to disable the alarm right? Means I will lose the convenience that Ikey gives me (No need to press button to unlock door).

Thanks

yah... its gonna be a chore if we gotta use iKey to disable the alarm...
