My FC is around 12.5kml too. On my last pump, I calculated it was around 13 kml.

BS laa... how difficult can it be? on each gas pump, reset the meter to 0 until next gas pump, see how much has been pumped.

distant run/gas pumped = kml

How difficullt or wrong could that be????

Thats exactly what i did whenever I top up each week!  I usually hit 100Km on 3/4 tank & 200 at 1/2 tank then 300 at 1/4 tank. What I dont understd is how come TC FC testing can get such good FC readings? They were using the vehicle odometer to read the distance travelled & monitoring the petrol consumed.

I am still convinced that my FC is very bad despite this testing done at TC!

Carmodz:
yup, same with sengkang, my best record was a mere 12.5km/l and thats during the run in period somemore.

i complained and same thing, brought me out for a test drive. went to top up till the brim, and went on expressway and back to the same station. clocked 16.Xkm/L. So i lost the war, the foreman jus looked at me, bling bling and said, OK wat...wah i suck thumb..

the tip he thought me was rev it up to 2.5k rpm, and keep it there till ur desired speed. thereafter, release the accelerator and try to cruise below 2k.

explanation for revving at 2.5k was that u wont be "dragging" the gear, or simply put, the gear changes quicker, u reach ur desired speed faster, and hence wont step on the accelerator as much...

anyway, been 3 yrs now, been clocking 10+ km/L. Good days about 11+km/L

Have been complaining to TC that my FC is ard 10.2km/l (Average) (Route: 40%highway, 60% city). On my 40k svc, advice decided to recommend FC testing for me. With all the devices hookedup, we dove to the road opposite a Polytechinc in Tampines. From there, I drove my car for 1 litre based on the device that was hookup by tC & went ard tampines. The reading for 1 litre (city driving) was 14.9km/Litre! Then we went towards TPE & U-turn back at Yio Cho Kang
& back to Ubi by TPE again. THe reading for highway was 18.7km/Litre!
Shocking results but I dont seem to get these results at all in my driving!
I alway top-up fully with extra pumps after pump auto stop & zero my metering readings before driving off & results are always constant at ard 10.2-10.7km/l!
The FC Tester said our style of FC reading not accurate at all!
Did anyone here went for FC testing before? I am convinenced that my way of measuring FC is correct becos my fuel light lited ard 320-360km & everyone have always been saying the we have reserve of ard 10Litres left. I usually topup ard 32-36Litres also.
Very puzzle on the FC testing results! :confused1:

So high 14.9/L and 18.7/L, where got so high? Think they got do something to the FC Tester.
