Sometimes the kiosk pump head is crap out already, after so many poke the thing not virgin fit anymore, no matter how u angle it also lao hong. if that is the case usually i go another petrol kiosk not so crowded one to pump air

happened to me b4.....when they change replace my existing rubber onto another rim, without changing the valve (usually should change whenever a rubber is replaced onto another rim)

did you do something to your affected rim recently? or sent to some workshop?

sometime the reading may show err with beep sound.  means errors.
if ok it will show the reading with number 
if show err,  hv to properly insert the head of the pump into your tyre valve and try again
