Latio Sports. A good car?
vroomvroom:
Alamak why u guys 2nd guess just based on my nick? ;D
Im not a cheongster la.
Prior to getting this car, I already did alot of nec read up and check on this car.
I understand its pros and I bought it based on its pros which is also well documented in this forum.
But there are too many fault with my car until I buay tahan! Maybe its just my car!
Im not comparing anything and im just sharing my point of view based on my experience with my car.
Here it goes: My car- Latio Sports w Sunroof.
Here are those things that I am having to put up!
1. Sunroof rattles (Bang table bang wall, write email to complain to TC upper management, Problem still cant be solved.)
2. Power window (faulty)
3. The back seats, the middle portion which can be pull down to put cups. It rattles as long as the car moves.
4. left side back door, hollow sound when opening. The only 1 door that gives a very 'cheapo' sound
5. Steering wheel...Got sound....not those tok tok sounds which u guys mentioned in this forum. As long as i turn the steering wheel got sound liao...very irritating. The mechanics told me dunno what (i cant rem now) is faulty and need to change.
My car is not even 1 yr old yet!
Others...
1. TC servicing center really (^*&%%&^%#@. Send my car in for servicing...when i collect the car, all my radio frequency is out and became some malay FM. Did anyone gave them permission to play with my sound system?
Another occassion, send in for servicing, got back my car in extreme dirty state like just finished mud race. Ok granted that they need to take my car for test drive to see if sunroof rattles...But cant they wash up my car after that? I really complain until I GIVE UP so now i just put up with their nonsense.
2. I thought I can accept CVT prior to buying this car cos I am not a cheongest who must be the fastest off the block. But... at times you really got to have alot of patience with this car esp if your missus dont like to hear any rev-ving sound. (ok i know this one not a very valid reason for most)
Ok, perhaps you guys might say this is part and parcel of owning a car and every cars got its problem. But seriously.....if I know in advance abt all this problems associated with the supposedly most posh version of Latio (Latio sports CVT w sunroof), I rather save that additional 5-10k and opt for the basic version of AT latio sedan (Somemore the boot is so much bigger!).
At least if u spend less and the car got alot of problems, you take comfort that you pay for what you get. But Latio sports w sunroof being the top range of latio and still so many problems???
If its you ,will you be pissed esp when you know complains after complains to TC falls on deaf ears????
Sooner or later you will JUST GIVE UP.
Mind you b4 i got my latio sports, this has always been my dream car...i drool on the sight of latio sports zooming pass my vision. But now....dream has turned into nightmare.

So I assume your travelled 16,000km instead of 16km right? The standard trip meter usually show 1km and not 1m.
vroomvroom:
Oh yes Im sorry for the typo. 16k km.

So you know why our forumers so astonished when you judged your car CMI when you only travelled 16km instead of 16K km. :D

bro i have worst problems than yours with my previous car. granted my old car (march 1.0l '96) is damn old but I had engine problem, radiator problem, tyre problem. problems that cause you to can't even drive. but people are always around to help. do you still have your latio with you, or did you sell it already? maybe drop by the meet-ups, or visit a 3rd party authorized nissan service center. i recommend autosavers. they are good. go to the toh guan branch as they just open. the best mechanic is there.
