Occasionally you need to hard rev to clear away stubborn carbon. But I still yet to redline yet.

Can share what is the duration of the redline period?  Just touch and go, or hold there for longer?

clarence:
I don't think anyone driving at AUTO Latio can "hold on" at the redline on the tachometer, unless you are driving a manual, whereby you drag and hold on to redline on the 1st and 2nd gears.

If you can hold on to the redline on 4th gear on auto, I think you'd be way above the legal speed limit.

But I had tried putting gear to neutral while car is stationary, and rev up to redline and hold it on there. The engine started vibrating violently. That was over a decade ago on a MINDEF Mitsubishi Lancer 1.3 stationwagon   :devil2:
