205/45/R16 tyres too low profile?
razr:
I was advised to take the 205/45/R16 by the tyre shop. Says will help to improve pickup and more stable compare to 205/50/R16.
Any owners on this profile as well? Is it too low???
clarence:
It will result in your speedometer reading being 4.9% faster than the actual reading.

I doubt a wider tyre will improve pick up. Cornering and high speed stability will be better but at the expense of higher petrol consumption.
I noticed in the Flea Market section that many forumers are changing from their 205/55R16 rims and tyres back to 185/65R15 stock size.

try to get those with 205/50/R16 or 205/55/R16... If u can get tyre with ZR even better.. eg. 205/50/ZR16

but any other problems with my current profile except the speedometer reading is out?
Or is it a strict no no? However I do find the front wheel gap now is huge, my whole fist can go in. BTW offset of my 16 inch rims is +38.
How much usually will I lose if I trade in a one week old tyre back at the same shop?

Hi Bro,
How is your 16inch rim with v8 hanhook tyre? Pick up better?
