Heyo NotYetz,

If you are a member of the Automobile Association of Singapore, you can call AA's 24-hour Vehicle Recovery Services hotline at 6748 9911. Otherwise, can ask someone you know who is an AA member to buy for you, just that they have to be there with their membership card.

For members' convenience, AA provides free 24-hour battery delivery service. Members who require prompt battery replacement services may also walk-in to the AA Branch Office located at no. 2 Kung Chong Road (not sure if this office is open on Sunday - call the hotline to check).

AA sells Amaron Hi-Life and Tenax-Hoppecke batteries which offer high performance and requires minimum care.

Made of premium materials, AA's factory-filled and charged batteries do not require battery water top-up, yet at the same time, offer improved reliability and long-lasting performance.

AA members enjoy discounted prices plus 15-month warranty with effect from 1 October 2007.

Amaron is made in India and Varta is made in Germany.

Correct me if I am wrong.

Amaron is much cheaper than Varta but is just as hardy and lasting.

But why must you change your battery on a Sunday? Is it going to die soon? It will also cost you more. Most battery shops are open from Mon to Sat anyway.

AA batteries cost a bomb, even after the so called discount - very expensive!

NotYetz:
It's my friend's car actually. She's currently overseas... and I'm babysitting her car for her. Her car did died once last week, and the cranking sound seems longer than usual. As I will be leaving Singapore this evening, and the car will be alone for a week, that's the reason for changing it today (Sunday), since I've only just managed to contact her last night and she's worried that the car may not start up when she's back next Sunday...

You can try Autobacs at Bt Batok or Knight Auto Accessories at 2 Jln Tampang.

Both are definitely cheaper than AA.
