aircon colder after servicing
« on: August 14, 2008, 01:38:45 AM »
just to share: my aircon was quite erratic at times, with setting of 23oC, sometimes ok sometimes not, even during cool weather. found out that my compressor was running in & out quite frequently recently (about 1 time per minute), so during my 5k servicing this monday, i told the service advisor, and after that, my aircon now is running better, temp set at 25oC now also no problem. dunno wat they did, sure fix the problem. maybe car will run more efficient too?

the customer service said "reset the controls"...when i probe further, she wasn't sure.  I can try to find out. i'm keen to know wat's done too. now i'm going 25/26oC on day time with 1 fan running.

side outlets are weaker than center ones too. i think is normal to be weaker coz center one is bigger, and for throwing to the back seats, but very weak, not sure. maybe u have closed the vent slightly?

Did you all know that there is a 5th air con vent on the dashboard, just directly above the centre console?   ;)

i know abt it.. but i find it abit useless...... NOT strong + i cant put non-slip mat there as it will block air con  -__-

Demister is on the front edge, right under the windscreen.
The center vent just above the radio is not angled to blow into the windscreen for demisting.

It is designed to "throw" air over the driver and passenger to the rear. I turned that vent off because I set my seat very high and the vent blows directly into my eyes.

You can adjust the vents' air flow to blow lower or higher so that it will not blow at your eyes.

Only the ones by the side of the radio can adjust. The one on the top of the dashboard cannot adjsut one lah. Can only turn on and off.
