Had I waited, I could have got facelifted Latio at same price of $53K which I paid for my pre facelift YOM2007 Latio which had been sitting in the warehouse for 1 year.

Clarence, facelift Latio selling at $53K now?

clarence:
Sorry. Typo error. Basic Facelift Latio 4A/T now costs $52K, not $53K !!!

PRICES FOR FACE-LIFT LATIO (Cheaper than those who bought Pre Facelift YOM 2007 Latio in last few months)

Latio 1.5 4A/T Sedan Base - $52,000
Latio 1.5 CVT Sedan Premium - $55,000
Latio 1.5 4A/T Sports Base - $55,500
Latio 1.5 CVT Sports Premium - $59,500
Latio 1.5 CVT Sports Premium S/Roof - $61,500

I think prices will drop further with the lower forecast for growth in 2008 and increased forecast for inflation.

Do not be taken in by what the sales people tell you.

When I bought my Latio, I was told new facelift model will cost at least $63K (COE @ $14K then).

Then once Tan Chong cleared stocks of YOM2007 Latio, they slashed prices to $55K (COE @ $13K). Liars!!!

Now I bet you the sales people will tell you that the LTA is going to reduce COE quota next month and prices will go up for sure.

I bet you to your last dollar that LATIO will sell for below $50K in due course. Who would want to, or have money to buy new car in a recession?
