One thing I don't like sound-proofing is that, u got to dismantle all most ur entire door, with such new car, heart pain leh.

change the stock speakers as well, they just take off the front panel, clip on clip off operation only ( NOT THE WHOLE DOOR that seious ). taking out that panel just takes 2 minutes.. no heart pain. With new component speakers installed.. wah .. sound different.. just like in a mini concert after the sound-proofing. Sound quality On par with our 2 Durians.

same. too bad, due to low frequency is too strong, my passenger door side trembles quite a lot. Maybe I should invest a small woofer which that will not over stress my alpine speaker too much. hee

Go and open up and see for yourself if you are driving one.

Where can do sound proofing so that Latio can be quiet like Lexus?

I think your Latio will drink like a Lexus after the added weight from all the sound proofing.   :bleh:   ;D

Latio can NEVER achieve the kind of quietness in its cabin. Latio engine is noisier and neds to work harder as it is less than 1/2 of Lexus engine capacity.

Latio glass is also thinner than Lexus, so traffic noise can still filter in thru the glass.

It should be the same, did you try sitting on the passenger side and close the door ?  ;)

Second possibilty is our driver side may tend to wear and tear fast due to the frequency of usage.

Bro... fret not whether it is the seal, gasket, etc.. our doors are REALLY HOLLOW ( wait till you open the panel , u can understand).Soundproofing by adding on 1 or 2 layers does really helps in 'reinforcing' the door and improves on sound quality too. The stock speakers are paper-cone type which cannot take 'HEAVY' or BASS-ful blast,. that's y i recommend change to mid-class components speakers ( or high-end type if you can afford ). Yes I agree fully with some brothers that Latio / Lexus is from 2 different worlds... but at least we can enjoy the quietness as compare with other Jap/Thai SAME CATG. The s/p materials weight is inmaterial. Wat's is another few kilos added to achieve the satisfction all-round.
