I think so, mine is early batch. me and the tire shop owner had try to fit in a 185/65/15 but really can't and the spare tyre is smaller than stock tire.

You are telling us a brand new tyre will "deteriorate" faster than a used tyre ?

Your eraser analogy is based on new or used, if used I agreed to a certain extend but if new sealed with plastic under room temperature then I dare to challenge you with my >20 yrs old Stabilo rubber with me, the elasticity is still strong.

Do you know exactly what is a flat spot ? Pls refer to this http://www.bikewebsite.com/bikeof.htm. So pls do us a favour, you will not happy if I tell you BS or mis-leading info again, you know where you stand. Peace.

I don't think your Stabilo eraser has to bear the weight of a 1.2 tonne vehicle.   :glare:

A sealed tyre even when placed at room temperature in the warehouse is subject to the punishing moisture from the surroundings and high temperatures. The "sealed" wrapper is not air tight.

If you don't believe, you go and try to buy those on "Sale" and "new" sealed tyres that have been sealed and kept in the warehouse at room temperature for a few years, and install them in your Latio.

Then maybe you can come back and tell us if you are still alive after using those "New and Sealed Tyres."    :D

And please don't ask me if this is hear say or if I've tried it. I'm waiting for you to be the guinea pig.   :bleh:

I'm more in favour of bro clarence. Given the hot climate and humidity, even for the so called 'sealed' tyres will not last forever. Moreover the permeability of the oxygen will penetrate into the 'wrapper' of the tyre and cause gradually deterioration of the rubber. Of course if in cold climate, the condition would have been better, meaning longer shelf life. This is a fact ! Oxygen, light and moisture are some of the worst 'enemies' for a stable product.

Peace ! Just share what our belief. It may be different school of thoughts

I not sure what do you mean by eraser bear the weight of 1.2 tonne vehicle, maybe a moron will understand you since you started this pencil eraser assumption.

Are you working in a tyre company or still schooling ? How do you know it not properly sealed and not tight ?

As I mentioned, pls do not be insinuating and be a smart alec generate groundless facts like flatspot etc.

If you buy for me, I will dare to be your guinea pig, do you dare to take this challenge ?

Helli vortex,

Just 1 point to share, do you think distributors or retailers will want to lose money for those not sellable tyres ? There are always ways and means to recover or recycle all these unuse tyres if they do not have proper storage place. Secondly they are able to export to those 3rd world country, that what I know of.
