psyched:
hi,

Just done the 50000km servicing.

And TCM yet change the brake pad since day 1. It is a norm. The service advisor claim that it is within tolerance.

He say when you hear "screeeing" sound then change. Wow, like dat the metal will be scratched.

anyway what is the life span of the brake pad?

thks.

latio79:
Wow, your brake pad so lasting.. :w00t:
During my 30k servicing at TC, the mech
changed my belt and brake pads...

That servicing alone cost me close to $450.. :crycry:
They also claimed there's a nail in one of my tyre
and patching job has to be done..

psyched:
I am with the TCM NPMP so the deal is no charge on parts and labour cost.

What worry me is that they are saving the cost of changing parts. ( FOC for me.... saving for TCM )

If you are not in the NPMP package..... they suka suka ... say must change this and that parts. So you pay.

Anyway we are at their mercy .... must monitor the situation.

So can anybody give an indication on the life span of the brake pad?

thks.

clarence:
It's really a miracle that your brake pads can last till 50,000km and still do NOT need replacement.

On a positive note, this proofs that Nissan uses excellent and durable brake pads that can last... probably... till 100,000km.

But if you want peace of mind, perhaps you can get a 2nd opinion from an outside workshiop like Autosaver.

* Your NPMP package is valid till 50,000km or 2 1/2 yrs, whichever comes first. So even if you go back to Tan Chong again, they will not replace your brake pads for free as your mileage already exceeds 50,000km.

detach8:
oh no....
50,000 quite ultimate.. usually 40,000 i have to change brake pads for most vehicles liao
