Autosaver 2-year Servicing Package
iagree:
Hi guys
One more thing to share with you.
The mechanic showed me the meter measurement on my Battery life, it's left with 52 out of 100 for my battery. He urged me to change, and the price is abt S$120 + - (before 10% discnt). But he also mentioned the battery can still be use. Normally battery can use up to 1 to 2yr depending on case by case basis.
I decided not to change at the moment since it's 52/100, not 88/100. And, the starter of the engine I feel that it's still smooth, there is no 'bad' sign to change the battery yet. So, save abit at the moment. Today already fart out 158$ for the servicing already...
S$98 hahah, end up + + + + donno what else need to be changed...
Below is what i feels:
1) If i service my car at TCM today, i might have paid > S$200 for the same services rendered & parts changed for me? uagree?
2) If i service my car at Msia (workshops), i might have paid RM200 for that? :) what do u think?
Econ is bad.... must save save....
Thanks for spending time to share experiences & knowledge.
Regards.

Hi all
Two more things to share & discuss.
1) Aircon filter
The mechanic showed me the Aircon filter , to show me how dirty it is, urge me to change, so i asked for the pricing , abt S$60+ (b4 discnt). I think twice, aiya, save trouble, change it now rather than later.
I myself not too sure do i really need to chg the aircon filter or not.
I was wondering Aircon Filter, Air Filter , are they the same? I asked him, he said they are diff.
Oil filter i know, everytime we chg EO, we chg Oil Filter.
2) Test Drive
Ohhh, he test drive my car without asking me to sit into the car ?
Regards.

iagree, I am on TCM 2 yr service package. The previous service was 40k service. wiper, all oil, air filter, light bulb, belt change all included. nett price, no extra payment. Outside workshop always say they are cheaper but beware of $+++.
TCM package also exclude battery, so have to buy it.
How's your engine bay? did they clean it for you?
clarence:
Ying,
Overall, the servicing costs outside are still at least 30% cheaper than Tan Chong's, even after including the extra wear and tear items that need to be replaced.

Anyone thinking or serviced their car at TCM Malaysia b4? Worth doing this in term of $$$ and time?
