Gear Shift problem
Latio77:
I think when u park the car at e slope carpark or wat..... the gear shifting will be slightly hard to pull :confused1: :confused1:
I think it normal just that u need to step harder on the pedal.... ::) ::)

Nono, not step harder, is pull the gearshift harder. You will be able to push the button once the brake is stepped on, doesn't matter how hard you step.

When u put to park, some of the teeth of some gear will lock into another gear's slot. So when you park on slope and put to D and release brake, you will feel the car roll abit before the teeth locks the car into a stationary position. So when you release from P next time, its harder to pull because the weight of the cars are on the teeth.
Solution is to put to N, engage parking brake(use leg for latio one), release your foot brake(the one you use to brake normally), den change gear to P.

Tried this. It works ! Much easier to engage to D from P liao now.
clarence:
That's because the weight of the car is not resting on the gears. ;D

Hi Bro, in your last sentence, do you mean to change gear from N to P without stepping on the foot brake?
