Latio can not jump start?

(1/6) > >>

rocket:
my 20 month old battery just went flat in the morning:  can not unlock the door by remote and pressing the swith on the door handle, then unlock the door using physical key, again could not turn the ignition swith, thought steering wheel lock, tried to turn the steering and ignition swithch again, same. Finally asked taxi driver to help jump start, to my surprise, after we connected the cables, still can not turn the ignition switch.

No choice, called Nissan hot line to help, the technician came after half an hour, after replaced new battery,no problem to start my car at all, my steering wheel was not locked previously! total damage is $35 for labor, $53 for battery ( 50% discount in 2nd year).

Checked with the technician, whether it was normal  for latio that can not turn the ignition switch when battery flat , and can not jump start, he said yes, but couldn't tell why.

Any brothers have similar experience before? remember the battery flat on my previous car, I still  can turn the ignition switch, and can jump start with the help of another car. If our Latio really can not jump start when battery flat, definetely a big big disadvantage for the keyless system!

Malcolm:
why not? jumpstarted mine half a year back when no batt :confused1:

vypez:
bro, he's bullshitting you.

after you hook on the jumpstart cables, let it charge for a while, then crank.
if crank is stuck, jiggle the steering and crank together.

you might need to *try* to switch off all electricals to help lessen the load.

tested and proven bro, so many times. =]

rocket:
my problem is after connected the cable, still can not turn the ignition switch, and tried jiggle the steering and crank together already.

Most important,  the steering wheel was not locked at that time.

Malcolm:
