Driving directions from Singapore to Malaysia

Hi Guys,

anyone know of any good web resource that can give detailed driving directions from SG to anywhere in Malaysia, preferably with a visual map?

I know there are a handful currently using google maps technology but they are restricted to Singapore inland travel only, i.e. they only give me driving directions within SG.

Specifically, I am likely to have to drive up to Malacca.
-Would any of you pls advise on the distance between Singapore (East Side) to Malacca, assuming going by Second Link?
-Any other tips/comments on driving up to Msia?

How to drive to Malacca? Er..... close one eye lor.

Ok, serious now. You don't really need any special navigation aids lah. Driving to Malacca is so easy. Total distance is 200+km. After passing the second link, get onto the North South Highway (NSH). There are signs to guide you. There are also rest stops along the NSH where you can take breaks if you need to. Get out of the NSH at the 'Ayer Keroh' exit for Malacca. To get to the city centre, follow the directional sign for 'Bandaraya' which means 'city centre' in Malay.

Legal speed limit on the NSH is 110kmh. Latio's records on the NSH is what? 180kmh?

From Tuas check point, stick to 2nd Link main road, pay a few toll, and it will bring you to NSHW. see the small numeric marking along the NSHW, Ayer Keroh exit is 198km. Dun need map, just watch your front and back while you drive as this is your first trip north.

Try borrow a GPS to guide if you are not confident. It will helps u a lot.

inflation liao lei, RM20 might not work for SG plate car, RM50 also depend on luck then

Hi iewoug, do avoid tailgate buses/trailer, either let them go 1st or over take them (try not stay close to them).

if one person on bike, then RM20 or 50 is ok, If road block where you see a group of police, RM50 not enough to split leh. That was few years back lah, never kena lately so dun know  the police still drink kopi or change to Cappuccino liao.

Since this is your first trip, better dun speed on unfamiliar road lah.
