I have noticed an increasing number of motorists placing decorative items on their dashboard.

In event of an accident, especially a frontal collision, you risk those decorative items and after market gauge meters (those with small round faces) flying off the dashboard (even if they are pasted on) and injuring you.

Those decorative string of feathers placd on the dashboard also cause reflection on the front windscreen and obstruct your view, especially in the day.

Agree. For me, I can't stand anything that cause reflection on the the windscreen esp on the driver's side.

Just to add, during my recent accident, my mit Lanc evo transformer broke up into pieces when the taxi banged into me from behind at high speed.

try polarised sunglasses. they will eliminate horizontal reflection, meaning those reflections will not be present. can even use it  when the roads are wet but sun coming out to improve visibility og lane markings.
