chesterchua:
i totally duno when i use the spare key for one day, till i accidentally open one passenger door and thot i forget to lock, i open driver side then i noe its e way the spare key work. but it make no sense to me, since when u lock from outside means u are leaving the car just like u lock with your i-key. hw can u leave any passenger inside or anyone doesnt want t lock any door. weird design.

FL ma, so the problems oso must FL  :bleh:

I was surprise to learn today that even I use the central lock to lock all doors, I do not need to unlock driver side and just pull handle door is open. And after I close the door is not automatic locked.  :confused1:

I don't really see the manual locking design as a problem, more like our expectations are high. Just have to adapt or for those who have $$$, get it mod (if possible). I do appreciate this new info, as I have yet tried using the manual key in my rides. As for the headlights being set to auto, I have the habit of switching it off before turning the engine off. I do agree with Gone with the Wind's explanation of loading during engine start.

switch off the engine, after driver get out of the car, he just needs to press the central locking switch next to all the window switch controls to centrally lock all the doors, including the trunk.  Proceed to close the door and the car is locked.  Is very simple and don't even need the key to lock the car. (but please remember to have the key with you)

This is part of the car design, is not a flaw.  You can try using the key to lock the driver side door, the trunk will be locked too even thought the rest of the doors are unlocked.  If is a flaw, the trunk should not be locked.

Sounds complex. For my pre facelift Latio, I just need to have my i-key in my pocket, get out of the car, and press the small black button beside the door handle and all doors and boot will auto lock.

i believe that with the i-key, there is no problem for locking all the doors.
the problem arise only if you lost the i-k and have to turn to the manuel key. then u got problems locking all the doors at the same time.
correct me if i m wrong. thanks!
