Some FL Latio Issues

I did not know about this feature until I read your post - I felt that this is a cool design since the driver is the "captain" of the vehicle and not requiring to unlock before opening the door is ideal.
I missed my previous ride's central locking that is activated by the brake - once all passengers are onboard, the doors will be locked when I stepped on the brakes to shift the gear to drive. Now I always forget to central-lock the Latio when I drive.
For those who installed the alarm from TC, please advise if the central locking via brake pedal is one of the features. I may consider installing that if so. Thanks.

with TCM alarm, central locking activated upon stepping the brake pedal => yes

This is all individual preference. Personally, I do not like the doors to be automatically locked when I am travelling. I dont think Latio or most of the Japanese cars have the same feature as some continental makes, the door lock will be auto unlock when the car is involved in a bad accident. The safety feature is to allow passerby to pull out the passengers and driver in case they are not able to get out of the car themselves.
Nevertheless, I always manually central lock my doors when I travel to JB. I used central locking based on circumstance.

FL ma, so the problems oso must FL :bleh:

I share the same sentiment as you. As the owner/driver of the car, once you leave the vehicle and you are locking it, all your passengers will be out of the car.

You raised a good point. Well, since my kids are old enough and behave themselves, I think I will live with the "feature" and not lock the car while driving in Singapore.
