nitrogen gas

<< < (4/7) > >>

SAZISAZI:
Hey Bros and Sisters,

Aren't we forgetting something here?

Air is nearly 80% nitrogen anyway.

Would actually changing the proportion of nitrogen by 20% really make that much difference?

Doubts Doubts  :confused1:

CustomGolf:
I used Nitrogen when it's FOC, pay for it, never, effect? Don't feel anything except it last longer between inflating to desired pressure. What you're pumping into your tyres at the tyre shop should have 78% nitrogen, just be careful, there are times where I find that there is water when I put the nozzle a the tyre vavle, I stop straight away and pump the tyre on another occassion.

Just some FYI

Aircraft tyres are only filled with N2 and can only be N2, coz normal air expand and contract too erradically so may cause tyres to crack bulge or worse burst.

So unless ur tyres as fast as aircraft do, i seriously doubt any benefit for daily use

The only likely scenario I would use is probably driving through the Sahara desert. :bleh: No lar maybe long distance trip such as to distances beyond KL and Penang etc.

CustomGolf:
Always thought Aircraft tyres are solid. Air filled might exploded at high altitude. Guess I was wrong

Yes u are right, one of the reason for air fill aircraft tyres is high Alt prob, but I was also taught that upon landing tyres fill with normal air will expand too fast can burst typres.
