Just tell the mechanic what you want, he will know what to do.

the battery should last about 40k km, roughly about 2 yrs . advise to change before stall. if not get ready the jump start cable with you in case cant start. otherwise better to change it now.

2.5 years, wow, that's long lasting for car battery, is it energizer? I change my first battery at 15 months.

Well, mine died w/o notice after 1.5yrs...call TC and they sent a replacement battery at 50% discount but they did add in a labor charge...

Total damage is about $90. So if yours lasted 2.5yrs, count yourself lucky man - but now its about to time to change - before it die on you; usually at the most inconvenient time.

Goodluck!!

Sorry, i think battery not covered by NPMP. 2nd year car, TCM will give u 50% discount on the battery. So still very worth it i think. u can ask them to change it for u during yr service.

hi all

today, my 40000km servicing at tcm  bkt timah.

there is a Note on the invoice, TO PROLONG LIFESPAN OF BATTERY, PLEASE CHECK & TOP UP BATTERY WATER TO LEVEL AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH

meaning, my battery still can last for awhile.

and, i chk with the payment cashier lady, after 1yr to before 2yr after we bot the latio, we can enjoy 50% discount if we chg our battery there...

from 2nd year to end of 2nd year, is 25% discount. subsequently, no discount at all.

i thk i will chg mine in my next servicing. hopefully my battery still can last for another 10000km.

regards.

Yes - shld change asap at 50%...that is at about $55++...otherwise if your current battery dies...they will charge you another $35++...that's why i paid $90++...

if the mechanic knows what to do, your audio settings etc will remain.
