What other cars have comparable cabin space as latio?

It's also not exactly a good deal at $60,000.

When i was shopping for my car in mid 2008, the Altis was 65k!!! Which is more than 10k more than my Latio! Lagi not a good deal... geez.... think Borneo was still kooning then... :out:

Altis is still overpriced at $60K for a Thai assembled product where the labour and material costs are just a fraction of a Japanese assembled car.

The Vios is also overpriced at Latio basic sedan price category.

Would you pay the same money for a Thai assembled automobile using an outdated 9 yr old engine and replica of an old model body (Toyota Belta) first launched 3 yrs ago in Japan?

I think most of us got Latio as it is one of the more reasonably priced & relatively new model 100% Japan assembled car with generous cabin and boot space which comes with keyless entry normally found in top end higher engine capacity models.

Not just the engine... the suspension system and chassis are also still the same. So, expect the same problems with the suspension, which will 'sag' and need replacement every now and then, as what I notice from friends and relatives driving the old Altis. I think the JDM Axio, while having an uglier interior, is still the better engineered car with better FC too.
