that is not what i want to do.
so, am thinking to get a iKey without the key, only go for the immobilizer.

Oic, then $290+ is cheap lar, better go buy quickly. If your gf change her mind and want spare Latio, then you are in big trouble.  :D

It is not advisable to go for just the i-key without the spare manual key embedded in the i-key.

If the i-key battery runs flat when your girlfriend wants to unlock the car, there is no spare manual key to unlock and start the car.

Alternatively, she can take 2 "keys" with her - the i-key and spare manual key, but it may be a little bulky to carry 2 "keys".
