Latio Sport Power Window problem
« on: January 16, 2009, 04:20:37 PM »
Hi All,

Experiencing power window dilema, (driver window):-  after wind up the glass will shut but not fully, seems like the glass slide down a little. Is this normal for latio sport or latio in general after a year plus? Just concern in a long run it will slide even more.  Any advise out there...thanks.

You can go back and complaint that sometimes water leaks in due to that. They might change the power window motor for you.

mine happend for 3 times liao.  Always happen if u use the window frequently, not more than 6 months.  fixed 2 times but 3rd time cannot fixed due to double layer of soundproof.  You can go to TCM and they will do it for you.  I am used to it now so dun care.

Hi, after i wind up the window (driver side), and after a while i pull the lever again, i can see the glass move upwards. Does that mean that the glass has actually 'slided' down? Is this what u experience?

after realeasing the lever you can actually see the window slide down a millimitre (try do at night coz there will some reflection against the illuminated gauge meter or radio coole...there you can see it slide)..

Thanks, i take note of this. All this while i am puzzled how come when i pull the lever periodically, the glass still seems to be able to move up every time, and the force is particularly strong for the 2 front windows.

I was out just now, during the evening time. Tested all my 4 windows and to my horror all 4 of them slides down!

But i think this link gives the solution to the problem that the window cannot auto wind-up. Not for this problem whereby the "window slides down a bit after you have winded it up".
