Petrol tank

Also waiting for petrol price to drop, so usually i pump half tank. When car is moving, the petrol inside the tank splashes and will 'lubricate' the rest of the tank. I thought so. $20 is too little liao.... for me can only last 2 days or so.... so troublesome to keep visiting petrol kiosk. :bleh:

I think we should just pump 3/4 full as what MIdnight has said about affecting FC. petrol evaporates faster in full tank rather in 3/4. it wouldnt vapour as quick compared to full tank.
the cons is, you are not able to monitor your petrol consumption.

There are some plastic such as polypropylene which is tough and not fragile. They are able to withstand high corrosive acids and alkaline. Think PP or HDPE plastic material can also hold petrol. That's why you don't see petrol or engine oil being sell in metal container in the supermarkets.

Why full tank evaporate faster?
One of the reason that i pump half tank is also because i can monitor FC. Just X2 to get the full tank estimated mileage. 3/4 tank a bit difficult....
LatioR:
i quite sure u can top up at any level and still able to monitor FC, eg. to track total milleage (from the trip metre) regardless of how many times of petrol top up but need to keep track the total L of petrol top up, but of course, the last top up to full tank (this will do).
**of course per trip FC will be diff to measure then..

Yo Bro LatioR,
May I know which year you owned your TZR ? That is 1 of my dream bike when young but couldn't afford at that time, only bought Yamaha LC kia .... I did change 1 fuel tank before for my LC coz it really rust inside as you can see when we fill up petrol, for mine, coz I bought 2nd hand, so the rust is caused by the petrol pistol which inflict scratches while filling up. Sad.
