Reverse sensor long continuous beep - spoil?
Midnight:
Dear all,
It happened twice so far. Begin on Friday. When i put to reverse, it will beep continuously. But i confirmed at the back got nothing.
But it is back to normal after i switch off and on the engine again.
Is it spoil liao? :(
kraziesg:
If you polish/wax your own car, then you should check if the polish or wax has got in-between the gap of the outter and inner component of the sensors. If yes, then the wax or polish has hinder the normal operation of the sensors as they uses sound wave reflection to gauge the obstacles distance. Try use a needle or something small enough to clear the gap. If it's not, then you better send it back to TCM to have it checked.

i got mine changed to another 3rd party one. Having intermittent problem with TC's sensor which their tech fail to rectify.

I also realise sometimes, there is 2 different beeping sound when I reverse.
Anyone notice?
Silver:
one is indicating that the reverse gear is engaged
the other is that produced by the reverse sensing system
