Reverse sensor long continuous beep - spoil?

<< < (4/5) > >>

gnoyee:
My one is not like yours. Totally silent and got no beeping sound at all. I send to them for a check today and they replace the modules but still the same. When engage reverse gear i only hear a sound of tick tick tick only. It seem that the buzzer got some problem.

Like to find more opinion. what could be this proble,

Midnight:
Get TCM to change every component of the reverse sensor system.

For my case, i narrow it down and more or less confirmed is due to weak battery because shortly after the symptoms appeared, my battery died. Change a new one and until now, have been abt a month, the symptoms did not re-surface.

Aust:
I didn't expect so many Latio bros have this problem. I realise that if I shift too fast from D to R, the long beep will happen. Therefore I always make sure that I completely stop the car before slowly shifting from D to R. Ours not racing car, so probably give the car some time to 'think' and react to the driver's input. Now no more long continuous beep already. If it persist, try put to D and R again. It should be okie.

I used to have this problem.... but the problem disappeared when go to TC.

However, I think it is quite common, according the the SE.
what they will do is to
1 reset the sensor and then you drive off and see how.
2 if still got the problem after a few reset, they can then change it.
they can't change it straight away as they need to try to reset it first.

don;t need to book an appt, just call TC, ask to speak to any SE (by name if you know them) then ask them what to do.

finally, I got mine changed...

I used to  have this problem. The sensors have an outer ring an an inner ring. Align the outer ring which has a small bump to the 6 o clock position. The problem will go away.
