Body Value of Latio

--- Quote from: Midnight on February 02, 2009, 06:00:51 PM ---Just about a month ago i called an exporter, he told be to export the car, the car must at least 3 years old. Dunno how true.
He quoted me about $7000 for the body value of a 3 years old latio.
--- End quote ---
I'm not sure is it because of current economic downturn that can only fetch $7000. When I sold my vios at 2 years 2 months, I could get $11000!
Think probably the body value depends on overseas' market demand. He takes only 3 year old car could be due to export tax issue.

Usually Toyota and Honda able to fetch higher body value than other makes due to demand and brand, but now unable to get $11K for Vios also. Able to get $8K for Toyota and Honda now already a grab.
clarence:
I know of someone who was offered only $2,500 trade-in for the body value of his 3 1/2 year old Honda Civic 1.6 auto.
As this worldwide recession, otherwise known as the 2nd Great Depression deepens, the demand for cars in the export market will shrink, and hence, so will the body value irregardless of brand.
